Meet Dr. Keenan Withers
I am a UCLA-trained, board-certified adult psychiatrist providing thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care in Los Angeles and across California. I specialize in working with adults facing depression, bipolar, anxiety, psychosis, reproductive mental health, trauma/PTSD, major life transitions, and a wide range of other mental health concerns.
Working with a psychiatrist can feel like a deeply personal decision. I believe psychiatric treatment should feel personal, thoughtful, collaborative, respectful and deeply tailored to the person behind the symptoms. I will work closely with you on developing a treatment plan aligned with your values, goals, and long-term wellbeing.
I have worked across academic, community, and international mental health settings. Having lived and worked abroad, I bring a personal understanding of the emotional and cultural complexities of identity, relocation, and life transitions.
My global mental health background includes working as a United States Fulbright Scholar in Mauritius and a Fogarty International Clinical Research Scholar in Vietnam, along with volunteer and educational experiences in South Africa, Uganda, and the United Kingdom. These experiences have guided me in connecting with patients from diverse backgrounds and supporting individuals navigating change, growth and the complexities of modern life.
